Dear Philip and Richard, I thoroughly enjoyed looking at these photos and seeing some familiar family faces. What struck me was how much your father achieved and what a full life he led, truly a life well lived. Attending Uncle Peter’s school in Ripon was a wonderful experience - being able to proudly confess that I was, in fact, the head teacher’s niece resulted in a kind of popularity that I’d never before experienced as a somewhat shy and awkward child. Fond memories of a charming uncle who’s mischievous smile will never be forgotten x
